12 Foot Sliding Glass Patio Doors - Stained glass is perhaps one of the very most beautiful varieties of glass is most known for its presence in wonderful medieval church windows, and available, depicting scenes that are glorious. Generally, stained glass can be used to depict some sort of symbol or image or idea, though now it's increasingly being used as an added touch of beauty to houses and offices and simple ornamentation. The stained colors are far more subtle, and stained glass is used for coffee tables and inside.

Stained glass is created with the addition of metallic oxides to glass that is molten (created from melting silica with other products) and continually kept melted down inside a clay pot over a furnace. The type and amount of oxide added to determine brilliance and the shade of colour; copper oxides result in green glass, while cobalt makes blue glass and gold makes red glass. The red shade is made with less expensive chemicals today and creates a brilliant red.

Most glass doors have largely clear (or very slightly tinted glass) with a fairly simple design that requires a little stained glass for effect. While some stained glass doors are completely manufactured from glass (and these are great for interior doors leading to offices, or doors leading into gardens), other stained glass doors are only partly made of glass.

Instead, the door is mostly wood, with an inset stained glass window that adds wonderfully to the plan of the doorway. But should you be looking for such a stained glass door, I'd highly recommend having a wooden door that is fairly fancy either a more heavy wooden door would be greatest, and also carvings on the door would add to the appearance stained or painted a darker shade. This makes the glass area fit in aesthetically.
