Sliding Glass Patio Door Security Locks - Stained glass is perhaps among the most beautiful kinds of glass available, and is known because of its presence in wonderful medieval church windows, depicting glorious pictures. Generally, stained glass is utilized to depict some sort of graphic or symbol or notion, though now it's increasingly being used as simple decoration and an additional touch of beauty to offices and dwellings. The stained colours are far more subtle, and stained glass is even used for coffee tables and inside.

Stained glass is created by adding metallic oxides to glass that is molten (created from melting silica with other products) and continually kept melted inside a clay pot over a furnace. Quantity and the kind of oxide added to determine brilliance and the colour of color; copper oxides result in green glass, while cobalt makes gold and blue glass makes reddish glass. The reddish colour is made with substances that were less expensive, today and creates a brilliant reddish.

Most glass doors have mostly clear (or very slightly tinted glass) with a fairly simple design that calls for a little stained glass for effect. While some stained glass doors are entirely made from glass (and these are ideal for inside doors leading to offices, or doors leading into gardens), other stained glass doors are just partially made of glass.

The door is mostly wood, with an inset stained glass window that adds wonderfully to the design of the doorway. However, should you be looking for this type of stained glass door, I'd strongly recommend having a wooden door that is quite fancy either stained or painted a darker color; carvings on the door would increase the appearance, and a more heavy wooden door would be best. This makes the glass space fit in aesthetically.
